On Sunday, October 23, 2016, at 10:49 pm, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputies responded to the 900 block of Aspen Court in LaPlace for the report of a burglary in progress. The 37-year-old female victim identified the perpetrator as Dwayne Perrilloux, 39, of LaPlace. The victim told deputies that she opened her front door to investigate a noise that she heard outside, and Perrilloux charged into her house and chased her up the stairs. Responding deputies canvassed the area and located Perrilloux behind the apartment complex. After a brief foot pursuit, deputies apprehended Perrilloux. No one was injured during the incident.
Deputies arrested Dwayne Perrilloux and booked him with home invasion and stalking. He remains in custody in lieu of a $7,500.00 bond. St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff‘s Office deputies arrested Perrilloux eight times since August 2015 for but not limited to violation of a protective order, stalking and simple battery of the same victim.
