Monday, September 12, 2016, at 8:19 am, St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Todd Joseph, 31, of LaPlace on two outstanding warrants.
On September 7, a 31-year-old female complainant told deputies that Todd Joseph helped her pay to get her vehicle out the repair shop. Later the same day, Joseph returned to her home and asked her to pay him back the money that he paid to get her car out the repair shop. She had not agreed to pay him back, and they began to argue. Joseph yelled at the victim to get in the car, and he drove them to the bank so she could get money to pay him. When the victim was in the bank, she called the Sheriff’s Office for help. Before deputies arrived, Joseph drove off with the victim’s car without her permission. Deputies obtained a judicial court approved arrest warrant for Joseph for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle.
On September 9, a 23-year-old female complainant told deputies that she and her 1-year-old daughter were with Todd Joseph in his car. She said Joseph was her boyfriend of two years. She and Joseph began to argue. Joseph exited the car from the driver’s seat, walked to the passenger door, and grabbed the victim by her arms. He pulled her from the car to the ground. The victim is eight months pregnant with twins. Joseph then fled in the car. Deputies obtained a judicial court approved arrest warrant for Joseph for domestic abuse battery of a pregnant female with child endangerment.
Deputies booked Todd Joseph on the two outstanding warrants. He remains in custody in lieu of a $27,500 bond and a parole detainer. St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office deputies arrested Todd Joseph over seventy times since August 2002.
