Christopher Trosclair, 35, of Reserve was arrested August 14, 2017 in connection to an incident involving a crash with a police unit.
On Thursday, August 10, 2017, about 12:45 a.m., deputies observed a white male later identified as Christopher Trosclair driving a three-wheel terrain vehicle with no headlights at a high rate of speed on Northwest Fourth Street in Reserve. As deputies attempted to conduct a traffic stop at the intersection of Northwest Fourth Street and Garden Street, Trosclair slowed the vehicle. When deputies exited the unit to approach Trosclair, he sped up, attempted to go around the police unit, disregarded a stop sign at the intersection, and eventually crashed into the front driver’s side door of the police unit. Trosclair flipped over the handle bars of the vehicle, landed on his feet, and fled towards Annex Street. Deputies canvassed the area but were unable to locate Trosclair. A judicial warrant was obtained for Trosclair’s arrest August 11, 2017. Trosclair turned himself in August 14, 2017, and he was booked with aggravated flight from an officer, off road vehicle, hit and run, and reckless operation. He is being held in custody in lieu of a $4,750 bond.
