Teens & Traffic Stops

A Teens and Traffic Stops class is presented periodically to teach teens how to respond if they get pulled over.

Concealed Carry Permit Classes

Concealed Carry Permit classes are offered for the public to complete the certification required to obtain a Louisiana Concealed Carry License.

Women's Self Defense

A class is offered to teach women self-defense techniques to help protect themselves from assault.

Continuing Training

Continuing education and training for law enforcement is essential to improve skills, increase professionalism, and enhance overall job performance.

Public Safety Complex Opens in Wallace

A public safety complex was built in Wallace to increase police, fire and medical presence on the west bank.

SJSO's SWAT Tactical Training Facility

Stemming an Uptick in Gun Violence

A recent initiative aimed at stemming an uptick in gun violence in St. John the Baptist Parish resulted in almost two dozen firearms taken off the streets as well as several arrests, Sheriff Mike Tregre has announced.
