heriff Mike Tregre announced the arrests of Brandon Braxton and Nathis Burl and a 15 year old Juvenile for the homicide of Mikivon Maleei Anderson, 17, who has been missing from Garyville LA since March 24, 2013. Anderson’s body was located in a shallow grave in the Mt. Airy – Garyville area late Wednesday, July 31st.
Brandon Braxton, 18, of 181 Marigold St, Mount Airy LA, was arrested July 31st and charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Conpiracy to commit 2nd Degree Murder, and Obstruction of Justice by Tampering with evidence. Braxton’s bond was set at $1,600,000.00 by Judge Mary Becnel.
Nathis Burl, 18, of 318 Marquez St., Mount Airy LA, was arrested July 31st and charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Conpiracy to commit 2nd Degree Murder, and Obstruction of Justice by Tampering with evidence. Burl also was booked with an Attachment for Contempt of Court in an unrelated case. Burl’s bond bond was set at $1,600,150.00 by Judge Mary Becnel.
Juvenile, 15, Garyville LA, was arrested August 2, and charged with 2nd Degree Murder, Conpiracy to commit 2nd Degree Murder, and Obstruction of Justice by Tampering with evidence.
Sheriff Tregre said the investigation into Anderson’s homicide is still ongoing. The Juvenile, Braxton and Burl remain in custody at this time, at the St John Parish Correctional Center.
