The St. John the Baptist Parish Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Division has arrested a LaPlace man and booked him with possession of illegal drugs with intent to distribute, among other charges, after he was found with a bag filled with illegal narcotics.
Nathaniel Pidgeon,Jr.,43, was arrested Friday, Nov. 15, 2024, in LaPlace following a traffic stop. During the stop deputies located a bag hidden under Pidgeon’s clothing. Pidgeon admitted to detectives that the bag contained illegal drugs. A further search of Pidgeon resulted in the recovery of additional drugs and $1,660 in cash.
During the course of the traffic stop detectives recovered eight baggies of Fentanyl with a combined approximate weight of 4.8 grams, 96 baggies containing MDMA (Ecstasy) tablets with a combined approximate total of 954 tablets, four(4) clear plastic baggies containing methamphetamine with a combined approximate weight of 15.7 grams, one Suboxone Strip, and $1,660.
As a result of the traffic stop investigation, Pidgeon was arrested and booked into the Sherman Walker Correctional Center for the following charges:
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (FENTANYL)
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule II CDS (METH)
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule I CDS (MDMA)
- Possession with the Intent to Distribute a Schedule III CDS (SUBOXONE)
- Transactions involving Proceeds from CDS Activity
Pidgeon is being held in the parish jail. His bond is set at $235,000.
