On November 6, 2017 at approximately 0720 hours St. John Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call in the 1500 block of Grant Drive of a subject shot outside of a residence. Officers and emergency personnel arrived on scene and located a 15 year old male with a gunshot wound to the chest. The juvenile was transported to the hospital where he remains in stable condition. A 14 year old juvenile was arrested for attempted second degree murder in relation to this incident where he used a stolen firearm to shoot the juvenile. The juvenile was also arrested on several other charges related to several residential and vehicle burglaries in the area.
Detectives are asking anyone who may have been a victim to a residential or vehicle burglary recently and did not report it to the St. John Sheriff’s Office to please contact our office so the burglaries can be documented.
